Meet the team
Leduc County’s economic portfolio includes development facilitation, speed-to-market, new opportunity identification, sector diversification, strategic investments and business retention support.
Behind advancing these priorities is a talented team with a passion for economic development and all of its facets.
Brad White
Manager, Economic Development
With more than 30 years of extensive experience in regional development, Brad delivers investment solutions and provides business advocacy while creating municipal-building relationships through measured economic activities.
He currently serves as a municipal representative for Edmonton Global (EG), Collaborative Economic Development (CED), Edmonton Metropolitan Regional Board (EMRB), and the Greater Edmonton Economic Development Team (GEET), and has also provided representation on the River Valley Alliance (RVA) over the course of his career.
Brad looks to strategic development projects when formulating non-residential business development and business retention strategies and identifying new economic opportunities.
He has received recognition for his involvement with the Business Retention and Expansion Awards at the provincial/international level (EDA & BREI) and for his work with GIS innovative thematic mapping (URISA).
Bryanna Kumpula-Yung
Economic Development Coordinator
Bryanna is a facilitator, community builder and entrepreneur. In her role as economic development coordinator at Leduc County, her focus is on growing the agri-food sector.
Bryanna is connected to the community and is leading the redevelopment of the former Nisku Recreation Centre into the Leduc County Business and Entrepreneur Centre (BEC). Through this role, Bryanna connects businesses to resources, facilitates economic development projects, and identifies services within the County to support investment.
Outside of her day job, Bryanna owns Bar OA farms, a regenerative local cut flower farm providing people with unique flowers and experiences. Bryanna has a passion for regionalized food systems and works to increase food access and security through local food and horticulture projects.
Beyond her professional work, Bryanna volunteers with the Edmonton Food Council and is a former board member of Food Secure Canada. As a grassroots volunteer with Community Learning in Lac La Biche, she developed the Kids Edible garden program, which supports more than 200 kids in growing vegetable gardens annually. Bryanna was instrumental in the creation of the Stone Soup Food Centre, which redistributes surplus food from local grocery stores to people, animals and local compost instead of the landfill.
