Leduc County removes fire restriction

Recent precipitation helped to reduce wildfire risk

Effective immediately, Leduc County is no longer under a fire restriction.

Thanks to recent precipitation, fire officials say the risk of wildfire is now reduced across the County.

Citizens who wish to conduct open burning must have a fire permit; permits can be obtained for free from a fire guardian.

Leduc County thanks the public for its cooperation and compliance with the recent fire restriction and encourages residents to continue practicing responsible burning.

Fire officials will continue to monitor conditions. Should Leduc County’s status change, information will be shared with the public Leduc-county.com and Albertafirebans.ca
